Bargain hunters came out in force to sift through goodies at Mencap's jumble sale on Saturday the 9th of October. Dozens of people came to see what was on offer including: clothes, unwanted bric-a-brac, books and toys. There were plenty of deals to be had. The volunteers worked hard to make the event a success and were delighted to have raised £568 which will go towards member's social evenings and outings.
Event organisers, Cath Read and Dianne King, were thrilled to see so many supporters and would like to thank all the volunteers who made the event possible. A special thank you to Susie Diggons, Tesco's Community Champion, who donated refreshments and helped serve the customers on the day.
