A recent visit and harvesting in the sunshine!

Today, Lisa needed to harvest lots of beautiful, healthy curly purple kale - Matthew and Joel did a fantastic job of this - look at all of that gorgeous food!

There were also beans to harvest, Matt and Charis did lots of Borlotti beans as well as the amazingly beautiful yin yang beans - I think they look like little killer whales! Both can be used for cooking or saved to make more plants next year!

While all of this was going on, Amanda took on the seemingly never ending task of weeding the raised bed- always with a smile - and then Willow - well what can we say? Willow put a loooooooot of effort into removing the old Cosmos plants - well done Willow!

Lisa kept everyone happy and busy between hot drinks and biscuit breaks. Time always flies on the plot - only four more weeks until our final session of the year!

Thank you to Essex Community Foundation for funding our wonderful project until next summer. A team from Saffron Building Society, who contributed greatly to the funding, visited us a few weeks ago - it was so lovely to meet them all and show them how much our group benefits from our club! Come back any time Claire and the team!

We hope you like our photos!
