Sunshine & Composting Success!
We were a small group today, with Lisa and Julie and Willow away, Joel and Barry busy with work and moving house (congratulations Barry!). Matthew & Pam joined Amanda, Steve, Jacquie and Marion on a lovely warm day. I was stunned to see the new, safe decking area outside the summerhouse and how lush the plot is at the moment.
After a welcome cuppa and a chat, we did some maintenance in the greenhouse: cleaning trays, and fed all of the tomatoes- both inside and out.
A fun job today was turning our ‘toblerone’ compost pile we started with Anna from Anna's Flower Farm less than two weeks earlier. It’s amazing how quickly the materials are breaking down and turning into beautiful dark brown compost full of worms - see the photos below showing the difference- thank you Anna!
Harvesting right now? Beautiful onions. potatoes, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, courgettes (lots!) raspberries, strawberries, rocket, herbs and there are beautiful flowers everywhere.
We hope you enjoy our photos!
