Our Projects

Saffron Walden Mencap Society has, in recent years, been given a new lease of life with the commencement of its Side by Side Club. Following its huge success, nine years on, the Society is ready to move forward and develop more activities for local individuals with learning disabilities.

 

Our newest project, Go With Our Flow for 16-25 year olds, launched in 2022 and meets in the community on a Friday evening.  Our GrowAbility Club, meets every Wednesday morning at Crocus Fields in Saffron Walden. We also run a number of events throughout the year for members such as our popular canal boat trips, evening theatre outings, Big BBQ, themed discos and parties to name just a few.

We are an independent small charity relying on funds raised by our events, collections and donations.
